BankProspector - Working with Contacts

Working with Contacts

Contacts are the heart of BankProspector. All the data in the world won’t help if you can’t get in touch with the right person at the bank. Here’s how the contact system works.

Finding Contacts

There are two main ways to find contacts:

  • On a bank’s Contacts tab: Go to any bank page, click the Contacts tab, and browse or search the Find Contacts list. Filter by title or state.
  • From the My Work > Contacts section: This shows all contacts you’ve already unlocked across all banks in one place.

Unlocking Contact Details

When you first see a contact in the Find Contacts tab, their name is partially masked and their email and phone aren’t visible. To unlock the full details, you’ll spend Enrichment Credits:

  • Request Email: Unlocks just the email address.
  • Request Phone: Unlocks just the phone number.
  • Request Both: Unlocks email and phone together.

Once unlocked, the contact moves to your My Contacts list and stays there — you won’t be charged again to view them.

Managing Your Contacts

Your unlocked contacts are saved in the My Contacts sub-tab on each bank page, and are also visible from the My Work > Contacts section in the sidebar. You can search, filter by title or state, and export your contact list to CSV.

Contact Quality

Our full-time contact research team continuously adds, updates, and verifies contact information. That said, people change roles — if you find a contact that’s no longer accurate, you can flag it for review and our team will update it.

💡 Tip: Focus on titles like Asset Manager, Special Assets Officer, Workout Officer, VP of Loan Administration, or Chief Credit Officer. These are the decision-makers who handle non-performing assets and REO.

NOTE: See Enrichment Credits Article to learn how you obtain credits to request contacts.
